Directions by road

Payzac is two hours by car north of Nîmes, and north-west of Avignon. 

About 2h1/2 hours north-east of Montpellier and south-west of Lyons.

● To come by train : aim for the station Valence-TGV. Bus transport south to Aubenas, change busses and take a new one to Lablachère, where someone can pick you up. 

● To come by car : use your router to find Payzac 07230. Coming from the north, we are 30 km south of Aubenas (leave the Aubenas-Alès road at Lablachère).  Coming from the south-east, also aim for Lablachère; from the southwest, we are  60 north of Alès, coming through the town of Les Vans.  All roads meet in Payzac in front of a shop/café/restaurant called Le Comptoir de Payzac. 

• With your back to the Comptoir, take the route no. D207 towards Faugères, Saint-Jean, etc.
  → Less than 2km, you have to your left a big stone cross ; to your right, a sign indicating Le Chemin de Rousselonge.
  → From the D207 to the Residence is 850m. The road turns sharp left and passes next to a wooden meeting house, then follows the crest of the hill. The first part is paved, then the road is just dirt, then paved again. The middle part is also stoney, take care here. Stay on the crest of the hill, never go downhill, either to the right or the left.

•  When you get to the second bit of paving you are at a high point and you can see the building itself straight ahead.  As you proceed towards it, you will see our mailbox to your right, built into the stone wall, with the numbers 674-670.  Right next to it, a rusty gate open. 

•  To reach Louisa Jones at no 670 Chemin de Rousselonge :
  Go through the open metal gate next to the mailbox marked 674-670. At the bottom of the slight incline is a parking lot. Leave your car there and come further down about 20 meters. A lantern marks the entrance to the house. Go down the ramp, ring the bell and be patient, I take a bit of time to get to the door.

• To reach the resisdence at no 674 Chemin de Rousselonge :
  Keep going straight until you reach the house, parking on  your left. The main entrance as you face the house is on the left, across a stone paving, up a few steps to the roofed dining terrace. (if you find yourself beside the swimming pool, you are on the wrong side).
